How To Increase your Sales: Five Stages a Would-be Customer will go through before Buying your Product.

The purpose of every business is profit maximization. You would not want to do something and end up with nothing no matter how trivial the activity is.

In business, knowing the thoughts of your customer(s) or would-be client(s) is a giant step towards reaching your business goals. Before a customer or client picks up your product,like you, they go through the five stages discussed below:

  • Awareness: At this stage, they are aware of your existence but may not have an idea of your product. You may have friends, colleagues and others. They know you but cannot tell what you are doing or what product you are selling.

It is expected that you maximize your relationship by bringing those around you into an awareness of your product since they know you already.

  • Interest: Once you are able to create an awareness of your product, the next step your would-be client may have to deal with is interest. Now they are aware of your product but they need to know its functionality and benefits.

You are expected to build their interest by convincing them of the usefulness or benefit of buying your product.

  • Evaluation: It is at this stage that the buyer determines if the product meets their desires or need. They make decisions to either try your product or not.
  • Trial: After the evaluation is done and they are convinced of your product beyond every shadow of doubt, then, they want to try it out.

It is expected that you are also able to offer products that is satisfying and gratifying enough so that the buyers can move to the final stage.

  • Adoption: At this final stage, you have been able to create a business relationship with your client or customers. They are satisfied with your product and would want to continue buying.

Therefore to increase your sales, you must identify your prospective clients and bring them to an awareness of your product. You must build and sustain their interest until they are convinced enough to give your product a trial.

With that achieved, you must provide incentives that will encourage them to keep using your products. With this steps, you are rest assured that your business will continue to thrive and your profit maximization is guaranteed.
